The exhibition "So I Won’t Suffocate" was born in the soul and mind of the artist Hillah Tomer. The poetry and photography book "So I Won’t Suffocate" is the debut work of the photographer and poet. The poems are written from the depths of her soul, navigating between reality and imagination, between the present and the future, and the past that accompanies them both. The photographs on display were directed, shot, and produced by Hillah Tomer, aiming to give the emotions and texts a visual image in order to illustrate them and make them accessible and understandable to the viewer and reader.

In this exhibition, Tomer takes her words and creates a visual interpretation for each of her poems in the form of a portrait. Entering this exhibition invites the viewer on a journey: into a body that is simultaneously familiar and foreign, experiencing pain after joy, processing the difficulty of release, undergoing a process of maturation and exposure.

The exhibition addresses themes such as relationships, femininity, internal conflicts, the silence in response to the world's cries, acceptance of reality, and longing for the present. Each medium in the exhibition originates from text; these texts become the property of the participating artists.
