Hillah Tomer is a theatre director, photographer, poet, and performance artist.
She graduated from "Telma Yelin" High School, holds a Bachelor's degree in Directing from "Seminar Hakibbutzim," and a Master's degree in Experimental Theatre from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London.
Her works have won awards such as the "Golden Hedgehog," the "Snappir Poetry Prize," and "Best Production" at the Acre Festival.
Her art engages with the raw, the ugly, and the "non-normative," and explores questions related to mental health.
She is a multidisciplinary creator, combining arts such as poetry and theatre, photography and poetry, dance and theatre, movement and photography, and other combinations.
She is particularly interested in women-centered works, created from a female perspective, aiming to amplify the female voice that is often heard only in private conversations within women’s groups but rarely expressed in wider public forums.
