With deep sorrow and profound grief, we announce the passing of our beloved daughter and sister, Eliana (Eli) Ronen, of blessed memory.
The Shiva will be held at the grieving family’s home at 27 HaHalutzim Street, Tel Aviv.
The grieving family
*
We invite you to console Talma, the grieving mother over the tragic loss of her daughter, and to join us on an intimate journey of coping with loss; an evening oscillating between the Shiva ceremony and the memories of that night when Eli, Talma’s daughter, confesses that she is going to end her life. From the moment of the announcement until the final gunshot, we witness Talma’s attempts to save Eli at any cost, completely blind to the fact that, in her overwhelming and binding love, she is inadvertently leading her daughter to use death as the only way to liberation. The audience at the Shiva gains an unmediated glimpse into the private lives of the two women in their most personal and intimate moments, and in doing so, witnesses the mother’s process of coping and processing the consequences of her actions.
