An Exhibition on Masculinity – and Its Disruption

Even in 2018, in the Israeli dating scene, we encounter men intimidated by successful women. Recently, I have heard from several men that I am a woman "who challenges their masculinity."

The exhibition BOYZ WILL BE BOYZ? uses photography and text to explore the concept of "masculinity." This exhibition takes men of various types, who wear traditionally feminine symbols or signs for the project that seemingly undermine their masculinity, and presents the question:

What is masculinity? What challenges it? What is the effect of the external gaze on a person's image?

And what does the famous phrase really mean:
BOYZ WILL ALWAYS BE BOYZ?
